Prayer, for me, is an opportunity. It’s not rare, it’s not a once in a lifetime, a never to come again opportunity, but a daily welcoming to run and to fall on my knees in thankfulness to God. Prayer rejuvenates me, knowing that God loves for me to come-a-knocking at His door, that He enjoys our conversations, our time together, that He wants all of this day, He planned long ago, given right back into His hands. From me to Him.
A willingness, a letting go if you will, to say in prayer…“This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24) A humble, yet determined spirit to let the world know that God’s in charge of my day.
That every part of the day from the hard work to the headaches, from the delights to the delays will be an opportunity in my quietest of moments to connect, in prayer, with the One “who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
So to all of us who rejoice in this great opportunity and for the ones who want to. This opportunity (prayer) never goes out style, never returns void, and never ever has an end date. Jesus paid it all.
Pray like you mean it. Pray because He listens. Pray because He answers. Pray just because GOD is.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Isaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
