A Hand-Washed Prayer

Leviticus 10:10 You must distinguish between what is sacred and what is common, what is ceremonially unclean and what is clean.

There are things in our everyday lives that are delicate, that we handle with the utmost care. And for all the meaningful things on our laundry list, there are priorities at the forefront.

Faith in God, time in the Word, in prayer, and my family are my ‘delicates’.

All of these areas need a daily hand-washing, (a personal touch) from Jesus.

Sure marriage is hard work and children aren’t always angels. But the emphasis of right now shouldn’t leave me feeling exiled to a laundry list  of the other things that need to be done, my strength is found in Jesus.

Jesus didn’t just come, remove the stain of sin and leave us to our own circumstances. He washed his followers with his blood to a future and a hope. To endure not to conform. To change old habits and gain new perspectives. To come to God through Him in prayer. And to bring our ‘delicates’.

What, in prayer, do you need hand-washed, (personally touched) by Jesus?

Jeremiah 29:12,13 In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
