Narrow Down Your Hope

“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:24

Has the LORD ever caused you to narrow down your hope? To recall, to shift, to rightly remember who gives it, restores it, provides for it? That the LORD himself makes the most of the hope we have in him?

Hope in God is never a disappointment. “and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Romans 5:5).

Scripture reminds us that God makes the best out of what seems bleak. He takes our hope in health and wealth, people and things and draws us, jolts us into remembering ‘great is HIS faithfulness!’

As Christians God’s faithfulness becomes the best asset we can inherit in Christ. Even at the expense of loss, destruction, and devastation our portion remains faithful. Scripture reads, “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope”( Romans 5:3).

Hope is a God-given quality in Christ that allows you to rejoice, to endure, and to watch it build you up at just the right time.

So let’s go Christians, have HOPE!
