Sticking to the Story (Part 1 of 3)

…and he (John) looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” John 1:36

There is something about sticking to Jesus. Sticking to His story. Again and again and again. We Christians have a pattern of speech. A consistency in talk and identity to the life of Jesus Christ. Our discourse is independent of passer byers, those listening or not. Our tongues stick to the truth of God.

We are but present day echoes of John the Baptist saying, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

Confess Your Testimony

(John 1:20; 29; 36)

Our lives as Christians are mere confessions. We are but today those sent out before Jesus’ second coming to a world still in need of His story, His life, in their lives. We share our testimony, our story, because there is not much more to us outside of His continued work in us. We become, through our lives, words, and conversations the very decrease to His increase. We become witnesses to what the angel said to the shepherds in Luke 2:10… “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

Set Seal

(John 3:29; 33)

Who authenticates us but the Word of God? Who shares God’s goodness if not us who are set apart? Who says, ‘Jesus is mine’, and shuts their mouth? Their door? Their hearts? Who flips a coin to His neighbors salvation?

Who wants what you have?

So let’s go Christians, share your sticky story.
