Stay Married to Your Story (Part 3 of 3)

Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. Luke 6:23

A story stuck to is a story committed to. Who relinquishes their commitment, their story, when no seems to be listening? When your story is said to be too much or not enough? Offensive or lacking influence? We are a people who leap for joy, not for applause.

Rejoice Not Revise

(Luke 6:45)

To stand by the words that spread the light of Jesus are not necessarily ‘nice words’ but ‘needed words.’ A voice in abundance, in overflow, in accordance to no greater love, is a reward, a treasure only heaven can pour onto our tongues. For the ones who are truly listening to His story, His story in your life, it doesn’t require flare, dramatics, twists and turns but one thing, the gift of saving grace.

Our Mouth, Our Message

(John 3:17)

Who gives to someone a message and they receive it? Who gives to someone the Word and they read it? We lead others not towards the lecture of Christ but the life of Christ. “Behold,” John says, ‘See for yourself.’

Our life story simply says, ‘Try Him, know Him, for yourself.’

So let’s go Christians, leap!

  1. We have to remember that God is working in our lives and even (especially) the ugly parts are evidence of that. We can show that Jesus loves the broken.

  2. That’s right Lady Janna. Our stories don’t say or show perfection but grace upon grace.

I hope you and yours are well.
