For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done.” But now, O God, strengthen my hands. Nehemiah 6:9
Some of us live fearless; but not to the will of God.
What will do you know God to be calling you to? Could it be to prioritize? Minimize? Make big something small? Scale down something grand? Then my suggestion is this, walk away. Walk away from your picture of God’s will for you…and fearlessly walk in the faithfulness of God to see you through.
When we Christians know God we also know that there is no smooth sailing to His will being done. And Nehemiah didn’t make light in sharing with us his opposition, but shows us in full measure what it looked like for him and what it could like for you, for me, for us: fear, challenges, set backs, self sabotage, and the ulterior motives of others.
Fear can cause us to look at our hands as small instead of useful, to drop His will instead of hold tight to it, but when we give prayer to God’s work for us, His children are equipped, outfitted, and armored to take on the smallest of tasks to the largest of endeavors.
Be it God’s will to know what’s best. That opposition may be just what you and I need to trust in Him completely. That His strength will see us through. That His purpose(s) can’t be thwarted. That in all you and I will ever accomplish is because of His faithfulness.
So let’s go Christians, be blessed in the accomplishments of God in and through you!
