For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15
Where does fear have you today? Is it trying to pull you back? Does it have you thinking and sinking heavily into doubt and worry? Or is it, even to the best of its ability, pushing you to move onward and forward?
Our minds can take us, even as Christians, to where we can’t worship because of worry. We can’t move forward because of fear. When our spirit thinks, looks, or seeks ways to run away we are literally falling back into slavery.
There is however, a leading, a forward beckoning from God, as children of God, not to receive anything He Himself did not give to us.
Our hands should open. Our hearts should open. And our minds should open every morning to the Spirit of God to receive power, love, and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7). There it is in Scripture what we ought to receive. Receive the very adoption as His children to move forward. And to not fall back.
So let’s go Christians, take God and His Spirit and move!
