Don’t Know Your Audience (Know God)

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servant of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; Ephesians 6:6 (KJV)

What does it take to follow someone? A click? A hashtag? A reblog?

Technology affords us amazingly, creatively, and instantaneously to follow all types of people, places, and things. And I believe that modern technology can teach us (and others) to follow who (to the Christian) is most important, JESUS.

Just think of all the people you follow around the internet sphere. You may have never gotten that opportunity if it weren’t for modern technology. And knowing that there is an encouragement (in technology) from other believers online is another way that God can use us.

The Christian knows more about other believers around the world and what they’re up to because of technology. And they too, can keep up with you and I in the same manner. Our thoughts, our lives, and even the Bible verses God spotlights for us can be shared, and followed world-wide.

Now we Christians could follow those with internet messages filled with gossip and self indulgences. Or we can, through our own blogs, our own lives, have others follow us through our God-given gifts, talents, and messages—to the glory of God.

When we know God we can lead ‘our followers,’ if you will, into our blogs and into our lives and give them a hope, a joy and a peace, and bring them along with us in sharing our sincerest sufferings, trials, and the hardships that we’re facing.

So let’s go Christians, let’s put our heart for God into our blogs!
