Our Daily Date

5:30 in the morning

He whispers in my ear

Good Morning, two words

As He draws me near

~

My blessing rests

While I rise

Outside those four walls

I am His and He is mine

~

The twirl of my fingers

Sunlight reveals time

His voice opens hope

His heart becomes my rhyme

~

My knees once again bend

Thankful for today, yesterday

Humbled in Your presence

Our daily date

~

  1. I hope you don’t mind, that I made this my morning prayer, too.

    Bless you, Tahlitha.

  2. Oh what a wonderful date! love it!

  3. Hi Cara, sure thing. God is good 🙂

The early part of the morning is the best time. My husband and our boys are still asleep. I have at least two hours before ‘my men’ wake up.

    Have a lovely day.

  4. Hey Cathy, it’s a great way for me to start everyday. Enjoy your day lady.

  5. I agree with you; morning seems to work best for me, too. Thank you. Hope you and your men have a wonderful weekend.

  6. This is just beautiful. The quiet moments of the early morning are perfect to share with Him.

  7. Hi Janna, thanks. They truly are. Have a wonderful week.

  8. What a lovely reflection of the daily ritual of connecting with your King and His heart for you. Sweet and inspiring words.

  9. Thank you GodGirl.

  10. How important it is for all of us to have a daily date with the Lord. Great reminder of our great need!

  11. Thank you Rob. Your ministry is a blessing indeed.

  12. Tahlitha, it sounds like we might be dating the same date….smiling. A Date with God everyday is pure love and the day must start with Him- with us meeting Him in the middle and walking with Him in the end towards eternity. This is beautiful. I just smile and give Him the praisies for the gifts I am surrounded by everyday. Your heart spoke beautiful music here to my heart.

His heart becomes my rhyme- this means to me that you beat to His heartbeat and not your own. God how awesome!

Thank you for sharing and thank you for stopping by to fellowship at Be Better Not Bitter. Blessings to you and come again and sip on a cup of Christ with me and others.

  13. Hi Shenine, thank you for your kind words. Yes, ‘our date’ is one in the same. I’m glad I’ve read and connected with you and others in love with the heart, message and sacrifice of our Savior.

I’ll definitely return for that cup. God is good.
