Who’s it for?

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. Romans 15:7

My noted thoughts:

  • Christians are to exemplify Christ, glorify God.

  • Christians are to be the welcoming voices to the open arms of Christ.

  • Our lives are offerings.

*

Who is the Christian if not the welcoming example of Christ? Who is the Christian if not but one whose life is lived for the glory of God?

Who is your singleness for? Your marriage for? Your abilities for? Your gifts for? Who is your everyday for?

In this verse there is a mirror-turning message. You now, we now, are not pleased in and of ourselves but that we reflect, get to reflect, project, who are lives are for. Our lives are now for others in the best way possible, imaginable, for the glory of God.

There are no more facades. We are single for…We are married for…We have abilities and gifts for…We have breath in our bodies for…all for the glory of God.

Rejoice in that welcoming, I say, rejoice.

God is glorified when we strip ourselves of pretenses. You are kind, encouraging, gifted, helpful, selfless, generous, cheerful, hopeful, friendly, passionate, and welcoming, for the glory of God.

So let’s go Christians, God is and you are, for His glory!
